Women’s Health

three women

At Everybody Physical Therapy we offer specialized programs that address specific needs of women through the lifespan.  Our staff are experienced and caring, and we understand how the majority of these issues can be embarrassing and debilitating. The good news is that we have great success stories from the women that have gone through our programs. Don't suffer in silence. You deserve to enjoy a full life and not be consumed or labeled with the symptoms you have.  Contact our Portland or Vancouver location today for help.

Do you suffer from pelvic pain, or bladder control problems (incontinence)?

If you answer yes to any of the following questions we can help.

Do you sometimes leak urine with coughing, sneezing, laughing or activity? Do you frequently run frantically to the bathroom worried that you won't make it in time? Do you sometimes not make it in time? Are you making more than 8 trips to the bathroom per 24 hours? Getting up several times at night to
use the restroom? Do you occasionally leak stool?  For more information go to our Incontinence page.

Do you have painful sexual intercourse? Do you experience a heavy/pressure feeling in the pelvic area (around the vagina and rectum)? Do you avoid sex due to pain? Do you have pain in the pelvic area with sitting?  For more information go to our pelvic pain page which lists specific diagnoses.

Many women afflicted with these symptoms suffer in silence because they are embarrassed. They think it is the normal changes that happen with childbirth or aging, or they are resigned to “just live with it” because they think there is no one that can help. Don't let these reasons keep you from enjoying your life and participating in every activity you desire. We can help.

While these issues affect far more women than men we offer the same programs to men with great success.  For more information on our men's health programs go to our Men's Health Page.

In addition, osteoporosis and fibromyalgia are two diagnoses that seem to affect far more women than men. We offer excellent programs for both of these problems.

If you have questions regarding whether physical therapy is right for you, please call us today.  We would be happy to set up a complimentary phone consult with one of our physical therapists at our Portland or Vancouver office.
